7. Ladera Grill

Ladera Grill is a heavy hitter in the Morgan Hill area, with one of the highest priced menus in the city. This American Bar and Grill specializes in U.S.D.A. Prime steaks and Chops, daily seafood specials, pasta dishes, entrée salads, and appetizers. You’ll see it as one of the most advertised restaurants in Morgan Hill, how does it stack up though?

The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating options. Inside, you’ll find extensive booth seating and a beautiful full bar with a few TVs. Additionally, there is an outside patio where you can sit and take in the views right in the heart of downtown Morgan Hill. If you’re having an event, they also have a private dining area that seats about 40 people.

One of the things you’ll notice right away is that the crowd in Ladera Grill is noticeably younger than many restaurants in Morgan Hill. This seems to be one of the more hip restaurants in the area, because of this, inside the restaurant is typically a bit louder than you would expect.

What sets Ladera Grill apart is its unique offering of prime steaks and chops. This feature is mentioned multiple times and is a testament to the restaurant’s commitment to providing high-quality, flavorful dishes.

My go to dish when trying a restaurant is always the Filet Mignonhere there are a variety of high end steak dishes so I had to try the filet. The steaks have always been cooked and seasoned well, the fries were perfectly crispy.

One of the disappointing aspects is the service you’ll receive here, it’s slow and seems to be a bit disorganized. While it’s not the worst, for a restaurant that bills itself as one of the best in Morgan Hill, it leaves a bit to be desired.

When it comes to drinks, the martinis at Ladera Grill are a must-try. I’m particularly fond of their killer martini, which is expertly mixed and always served chilled. It’s the perfect accompaniment to any meal.

Reservations are recommended at Ladera Grill, especially if you’re planning to dine during peak hours or on weekends. This ensures that you’ll have a table waiting for you when you arrive. We didn’t need any coming there on a Friday at 6pm which was surprising.
